Who Are We?

The Consultancy draws on expertise from a number of specialist staff. Key personnel are:

Derek Gow -

Derek is the founder of the consultancy and has been Project Manager for three successful British Wildlife parks - New Forest Nature Quest, The Wildwood Centre and Palacerigg Country Park since the 1980's.

In these roles he created a living history museum of the wildlife of the British Isles for the purposes of education. Whilst in these positions, his passion for conserving British species has grown and he is now at the forefront of British wildlife conservation. He is a familiar face on television and speaks at a variety of seminars and lectures.

Derek has many interests, including large animal habitat management, the reintroduction of the European beaver into Britain, wildlife of the world (he is also a guide for the Peoples Trust for Endangered species wildlife tours) and is a talented artist.

Derek was one of the pioneers in water vole captive breeding, which he continues to do to this day.

Kathy Holder -

As Head Keeper in a British Wildlife Centre for four years, Kathy now has eight years experience in working with British wildlife, and specialises in water vole captive breeding and husbandry. She is also interested in British wildflowers, rearing abandoned or sick animals (one of which is her tame weasel “Sausage”) and veterinary care of British wildlife.

Kathy has also lectured students from Hadlow College and Canterbury College in water vole and other small mammal breeding and husbandry.

Martyn Williams -

has worked for 22 years as a zoo professional. He has held positions as the head keeper at the Cotswold Wildlife Park and general manager of Drusillas Park before setting up his own consultancy; CBR – where Concept Become Reality.
